Find out what some of Julia's pupils have to say...

"I was recommended Julia for my son as a clarinet teacher. He is autistic and can find change hard. His first lesson he came out buzzing, Julia is really patient and the games that she did with him broke the lesson up so his concentration didnít wander. He didnít stop talking about how much he liked her all week. Really glad we came to her."
-Caroline, parent of 10 year old clarinet pupil.

That was the best hour of my life!"
- Izzy, 7 year old flute pupil

"Julia has been lovely with my two girls from the very first lesson, always patient and knows just how to get the best out of them. They have both entered exams feeling prepared and confident and have enjoyed playing for fun with Julia too, this year's Christmas concert was fantastic! I highly recommend Julia as a music teacher."
- Lisa, parent of 10 and 12 year old flute pupils

"Julia is a calm, knowledgeable teacher who gives her pupils confidence. She has a positive, encouraging approach which makes you want to improve and play to your best ability."
-Margaret, adult saxophone pupil

I really enjoyed my lesson. You gave me a chance to see what I was still capable of after not having played for some time and I really liked how you pointed out what my strong points were but also noticing which sides needed improving. Practicing smaller parts several times again and again is the best way to learn for me in general and that was the technique you used for me to practice parts of the pieces that were difficult for me to grasp. Looking forward to my next lesson!!!!"
- Christel, adult clarinet pupil

Julia is a truly wonderful teacher. She has inspired my daughter with her music and at the same time has made it lots of fun. She has an excellent rapport with both myself and my daughter and her individual attention and support is exemplary. I would highly recommend her as a teacher."
- Stephanie, parent of 9 year old clarinet pupil

Julia has taught music theory to my 9 and 10 year old daughters for the last year. She is an exceptional teacher and has provided a refreshing and engaging approach to music theory, which has proven invaluable in developing their musical interest. She is a concientious and reliable person who is a pleasure to welcome into our home. Her positive attitude has rubbed off and we have two very enthusiastic music theorists!"
- Amanda, parent of 9 and 10 year old theory pupils
